He was predeceased by: his former wife Judith Aucoin Lirette; his parents, Clyde Lirette and Elizabeth Ellender Lirette; his son Donald Lirette Jr; his siblings, Elmer Lirette, Curtis Lirette, Gloria Henry and Barbara Price; his mother-in-law Louella Aucoin; and his brothers-in-law, Barry Aucoin and Jerry Aucoin.

He is survived by: his wife Barbara Guidry Fontenot Lirette; his children, Vera Lirette, Ralph Lirette Sr and Eric Lirette (Nicole); his stepchildren, Karen Leonard (Dennis), Belinda Kimbro (Gary), Timothy Fontenot, Alton Fontenot and Melissa Harwell (Aaron); his sister Earnestine Pitre; and his grandchildren, Brandy, Ralph Jr, Melynda, Marci, Billy, Chris, Daisey and Donnie. He is also survived by eleven step-grandchildren, ten great-grandchildren; and numerous extended family.
