He was predeceased by: his parents, Lester Lapeyrouse and Gertrude Lapeyrouse; his siblings, Terry Lapeyrouse, Sr. and Catherine Champagne; and his wife Judy Dupre Lapeyrouse.

He is survived by: his son Lester Lapeyrouse (Renetta); his grandchildren, Austin and Jennifer Lapeyrouse; and his stepsons, Daniel Lyons, Richard "Ricky" Lyons, Jr. (Melvina) and Jeffrey Lyons.
