Barbara Leger Obituary

We are sad to announce that on January 10, 2022, at the age of 80, Barbara Leger of Chauvin, Louisiana passed away. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by: her parents, John Pierre, Sr. and Annette Carrere Buquet; her husband Leo Joseph Leger; and her son Michael J. Leger, Sr. (Barbara). She is survived by: her daughter Terri Leger Smith (Gordon) of Mint Hill, NC; her siblings, John P. Buquet (Sheila) of Houma, Earl "Polka" Buquet (Lyla) of Houma, Barry P. Buquet of Dulac, Joyce Luke of Dulac, Stella LeBoeuf of Dulac, Burma Mason of Bayou Black and Paula Buquet of Gray; and her grandchildren, Krystal Lynn Dufrene (Troy) of Plaquemine, Michael J. Leger, Jr. of Luling and Paige E. McCaleb of Lafayette. She is also survived by three great grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.
