He was predeceased by: his daughter Angela Starr Authement; his parents, Isreal Marcelin Authement and Mae Roddy Authement; and his siblings, Margie Authement Thibodaux and Sterling Authement Sr..

He is survived by: his wife Gale White Authement; his children, Tanya Lynn Hernandez, Arnold James Authement Jr. and Cory Paul Authement; and his sister Judy Authement Jackson. He is also survived by 5 granddaughters; 1 grandson; 6 great grandchildren.
