He was predeceased by: his parents, Robert Warren Richey and Oleta Hays Richey. He is survived by: his wife Suzan Annice Mitchell; his siblings, Judy Gibbs and Rodger Lynn Richey of Alexandria; his sons, Jarrod Daniel Richey (Sarah) of Monroe and Jordan David Richey (Kelsey) of Dallas; and his grandchildren, Arthur, Solomon, Elias, Samantha, Lydia, Sebastian and Miranda. He is also survived by many cousins, nieces, and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, memorials can be made to the Ebenezer Baptist Church Building Fund in Jonesboro, Louisiana, or Geneva Academy of West Monroe, Louisiana where his son teaches music, and grandchildren also attend.
