It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of James Adam Maturin of Charenton, Louisiana, born in Port Sulphur, Louisiana, who passed away on June 11, 2022, at the age of 74, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his daughter Lisa Marie Maturin; his parents, Adams Joseph Maturin and Adelina Champagne Maturin; and his sister Pearl McLean (Rufus). He is survived by: his wife Carolyn "Tootie" Hebert Maturin; his sons, Wayne Maturin (Sherry) and Jamie Maturin; and his stepchildren, Lisa Simpson (Larry), Guy Derouen (Ginger) and Ted Derouen (Sandra). He is also survived by 14 grandchildren; 11 great grandchildren; as well as numerous nieces, nephews, extended family, and friends.
