He was predeceased by: his wife Mary Ann Theady Bonura; his parents, Joseph Bonura and Inez Everhardt; his brothers, Leonard L. Bonura (late Mary) and Kenneth Bonura (late Sherrie); his niece Cindy; and his nephews, Alan and Roy.
He is survived by: his siblings, Mary L. Crovetto (Fenner) and John A. Bonura Sr. (Ruby); his nieces and nephews, Lenny Jr., Wayne, Karen, Tony, Marie, Danny, Angie, Heather, Paula, John Jr., Dale, Rhonda and Joey; his godchildren, Stephen Guidry (Ashely), Tonya Westerfield and Alicia Rockwell Breazeale (Luke); his brother Eddie Theady (Pam); and his sister-in-law Susan Howard.
Visitation was held on Thursday, February 20th 2025 from 9:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the St. Bernard Memorial Funeral Home (701 W Virtue St, Chalmette, LA 70043). A funeral service was held on Thursday, February 20th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
