He was predeceased by: his parents, Erik Joseph Roberts and Edna; and his sibling Charles Roberts. He is survived by: his wife Annie Marie Adams Roberts; his siblings, Janet Roberts Hebert (Harold), Evelyn Reuther, Theodore Roberts (Teddy) and Doris Michon; his children, Lance Anthony, Malcolm John, Jr. (Rusty) and Victoria Lynn; his stepchildren, Charles Carroll (Tara), Amanda of Oliveira and Samantha Cobbins (Kevin); and his grandchildren, Jacob Roberts, Olivia Roberts, Kayla of Oliveira, Charles of Oliveira, Ethan of Oliveira, Kate of Oliveira, Landon of Oliveira, Mason of Oliveira, Jayden Cobbins, Maia Cobbins and Ava Rose Cobbins. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers the family requests donations to the Mary Bird Perkins Cancer Center in Malcolm's name.
