He is survived by: his girlfriend Kathleen Bankston; his children, Todd Schnell (Robin), Troy Schnell (Debbie), Rene Schnell (Kelly) and Kelly Schnell (Chris Wehmeyer); his grandchildren, Logan Schnell, Kasey Schnell-Finch (Cody), Jessica Schnell Duncan (Andrew), Hunter Schnell, Preston Schnell, Londyn Schnell, Grayson Schnell, Gary, Kallie, Avery Wehmeyer, Ashtyn Wehmeyer, Lara Bankston, Trent Bankston, Paige Bankston and Hanna Bankston; his daughter Eileen Schnell; and also Betty Crawford.

In lieu of flowers, the family welcomes donations to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
