With profound sadness, we say goodbye to Gerard Sheldon Satterlee Jr. of Chalmette, Louisiana, born in Saint Bernard, Louisiana, whose vibrant spirit touched the lives of many. Gerard Sheldon left this world on February 15, 2025 at the age of 78, leaving a void in the lives of so many people. He was predeceased by: his parents, Gerard Sheldon Satterlee and Shirley Belsom Satterlee; his brother Timmy Satterlee; and his wife Patricia "Patti" Dewailly Satterlee. He is survived by: his sisters, Adele Cook, Lydia Christen and Agatha Borrouso; his daughters, Amy Satterlee Trahan (Joseph), Windy Satterlee Rachal (Christopher) and Melanie Becnel Broga (Jonathan); his grandchildren, Sophia, Sydney Trahan, Nathan, Eleanor Rachal, Ellery, Haley and Avery Broga; and his close friend Eileen Farley. He is also survived by numerous loving sisters-in-law, brothers-in-law, nieces, nephews.
Visitation was held on Friday, February 21st 2025 from 9:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Lake Lawn Metairie Funeral Home (5100 Pontchartrain Blvd, New Orleans, LA 70124). A funeral Mass was held on Friday, February 21st 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
