He was predeceased by: his parents, Samuel Smith and Rosalie Smith; and his sister Ann Marchese (late Vincent). He is survived by: his significant other Brenda Heier Smith; his sons, Earl Jr. (Michelle), Patrick (Deborah), Michael (Amanda) and Craig (Gretchen); his grandchildren, Bryce, Macie, Victoria, Elizabeth, Colin Thomas, Colin Joshua and Taylor (Karl); his great grandchild RileyKate; and his sibling Lynn Crissinger (late Michael).
