He is survived by: his children, Shay Kerne Boudreaux (Gene), Earl Michael Kerne, Errol David Kerne (Bonnie) and Nichol Genevieve Kerne; his grandchildren, Ashley Cannon, Brent Cannon, John Stafford, Nikolaos Stafford, Errol Kerne, Jr., Joshua Kerne, Chavonne McKendall and Donald Caillouet; his great grandchildren, Sammy Lewis, Jr. and Curtis Lewis; his sister Joanne Kerne Cain; and his niece Cindy Leigh.
