He was predeceased by: his son Julian Paul Trahan; his father Sidney Trahan, Sr.; his stepmother Andree Trahan; his siblings, Julian Paul Trahan, Marie Alice Trahan Reeves and Lucy Martin; and his parents-in-law, Leon Jessie Huval and Alice Arnaud Huval.
He is survived by: his wife Catherine Huval Trahan; his granddaughter Brittany Nicole Trahan; his sisters, Jeanette Trahan Morris (Lawless "Dozzie"), Claire Trahan Scalisi (Jody Royer), Claudette Trahan Martin and Jacqueline Trahan Solomon (Leo); and his siblings-in-law, Margarite Richard, Mary Selby (John), Yvonne Richard (John), Jessie Latiolais (Donald), Nancy Walters (Jeffery), Elizabeth Huval, Patricia Burleigh, Adeze LeBlanc (Ricky), David Huval (Mona) and Leon "Joseph" Huval (Earline).
His contributions to the industry were widely recognized and respected by colleagues and peers.
