She was predeceased by: her husband Labbe "L. J." Melancon; her parents, Percy Courville and Malvina Angelle Courville; and her siblings, Tullie Kidder, Patsy Clause, Will Courville, Norman Courville and Lowell Courville.
She is survived by: her children, Nelda Hebert (Merrill), Cathy Berard (David) and Kenneth "Skin" Melancon (Janelle); her grandchildren, Kyle Hebert (Bridgette), Joshua Hebert (Sonia), Brittany Berard Ducote (John), Ryan Berard (Breanna), Bryce Berard (Paige), Kasey Melancon (Candis) and Devin Melancon (Kathryn); and her great grandchildren, Grace, Mia, Claudia, Cohen, Wyatt, Rose, Camille, Andrew and Cooper.
Visitation was held on Thursday, October 17th 2024 from 4:00 PM to 9:00 PM and on Friday, October 18th 2024 from 8:00 AM to 10:45 AM at the Pellerin Funeral Home - Cecilia (2238 Bushville Hwy, Arnaudville, LA 70512). A rosary was held on Thursday, October 17th 2024 from 7:00 PM to 7:15 PM at the same location. A Mass of Christian burial will be held on Friday, October 18th 2024 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the St. Joseph Catholic Church (2250 Cecilia Sr High School Highway, Cecilia, LA 70517, USA 70521). A burial will be held on Friday, October 18th 2024 at the St. Joseph Cemetery (2250 Cecilia Sr H South Hwy, Arnaudville, LA 70512).
