He was predeceased by: his father Abel LaPorte; his brothers-in-law, Wade Kilgo and Michael Fitzgerald; and his grandparents, Clay, Lednee Courville, Joseph C. and Lydia Roy LaPorte.
He is survived by: his wife Tracie Guilbeau LaPorte; his mother Shirley Courville Ryder; his sisters, Sharon LaPorte (Rod) and Beverly Kilgo; his stepdaughter Jaide Leger (Jules); his in-laws, Larry and Vicki Guilbeau; his brother-in-law Todd Guilbeau (Candy); his nieces and nephews, Brandi Patin (Bo), Ashley Stelly (Matt), Grant Guilbeau, Gavin Guilbeau (Amelie), Gage Guilbeau and Garron Guilbeau; and his great-nieces and great-nephews, Arlei Patin, Mason Patin, Cane Stelly and Austyn Stelly.
