He is survived by: his children, Jessie Melancon (Deb Arabie), Mike Melancon (Lisa Guidry), Wilbert "Su'dee" Melancon, Leanna Giarratano (Donnie) and Mary Taylor, Sr. (John); and his grandchildren, Angelia, Tammy of Josh, AJ, Tonya, Jay, Mike Jr., Christina, Hunter, Fabian, Bryan, Erik, John Jr., Andy and Lyle.
