She was predeceased by: her husband Freddie Mathis, Sr.; her parents, Amy Louis and Clarence Allen Walters; and her siblings, Robert Walters and Karen Watkins.

She is survived by: her children, Denesse West, Amy Green (Kevin) and Allen Mathis; her grandchildren, Cory West, Taliyah Mathis, Richard West, Ka'Von Mathis, Brittany Johnson, Kevin Green Jr., Jessie Johnson and Kavin Green; and her sisters, Doris Holloway, Joyce Evans and Donna Short. She is also survived by many great grandchildren.
