He was predeceased by: his parents, Duplex Mire and Arthemise Richard Mire; his granddaughter Alora Mire; his daughter-in-law Lori Cormier-Mire; and his siblings, Pergie Mire, Herbert Mire, Hazel Dupuis, Marjorie Viator and Addie Mire.
He is survived by: his wife Mary Ann Mire; his sons, Kenny Mire (Donna Leger), Keith Mire (Jeanelle Mire) and John D. Mire (Vicky Mire); his grandchildren, Josh Mire, Justin Mire (Amanda), Derek Mire (Sarah), Callie Mire (Luke Pontiff), Shelby Trahan (Trent), Chris Guillory (Katie) and Scarlott Guillory; his stepgrandchildren, Jodie Aucoin (Brittany), Angel Domec, Ashley Duhon, Misty Comeaux, Ty Duplechain, Cameron Olivier and Gabrielle Mouton; and his siblings, Andrus Mire and Helen Royer. He is also survived by fourteen great grandchildren; eleven step great grandchildren.
