She was predeceased by: her parents, Edras Joseph Prejean and Beulah Ann Hernandez Prejean; and her stepmother Lucille Benton Prejean. She is survived by: her children, Brandon Prejean (Jennifer) of Carencro, Kellie Caldwell (Robert) of Franklin, MA and Laura Bixenman (Shawn) of Lafayette; her grandchildren, Justin Caldwell (Bailey), Dane Caldwell, Madison Caldwell, Morgan Caldwell, Hailey Bixenman, Noah Bixenman, Peyton Prejean and Leah Prejean; her great grandchild Nathaniel Caldwell; her brother Paul Prejean (Diane) of Lafayette; her nieces, Sarah Doucet (Marc) and Abby Prejean; her great-niece Amelia Doucet; and her great-nephew Max Doucet.
Visitation was held on Monday, January 20th 2025 from 11:30 AM to 1:00 PM at the Melancon Funeral Home (4615 N University Ave, Carencro, LA 70520). A rosary was held on Monday, January 20th 2025 at 1:30 PM at the St. Peter Roman Catholic Church (102 N Church St, Carencro, LA 70520). A Mass was held on Monday, January 20th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the same location.
