Monique Marie Richard Obituary
CARENCRO ~ Funeral services will be held Saturday, September 23, 2017 at 11:00 a.m. in Evangeline Memorial Gardens Chapel in Carencro for Monique Richard, age 39, who passed away Sunday, September 10, 2017 in Lafayette. Interment will be in Gethsemane Gardens Cemetery. Rev. Shirley Jean, pastor of Destiny of Faith Church in Lafayette, will officiate at the services.
Ms. Richard was a native and lifelong resident of Carencro. She was a parishioner of Our Lady of Assumption Catholic Church in Carencro. Nikki was the life of the party. She was a friendly, outgoing person who loved to dance. Her favorite saying was "Yeah to the yeah to the yeah." Survivors include three sons, Dwayne Richard, Wayne Angelle, Devonta Richard; five daughters, Dustinasha Richard, Deshonta Richard, Deionna Richard, Mii'Oriana Richard (Arceneaux), Miworiane Richard; three grandchildren, Da'Monnii Richard, Kimbree Ayana Richard, Messiah Deontei Woods; three brothers, Joseph Richard, Kevin Richard, Corey Richard; one sister, Pamela Richard; six aunts, Doloris Gotch, Mary Bruno, Calta Williams, Mary L. Gotch, Linda Gotch and Theresa Gotch; one uncle, Vorise Broussard and wife; and her best friend Ronny Woods.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Merlin Gotch and the former Emma Richard; her grandmother, Ezola Richard; one sister, Patricia Richard; two uncles, Carlton Gotch and Thomas Gotch; and one niece, Rose Breaux.
