He was predeceased by: his parents, Marius Babineaux and Cora Billeaud; his sister Joycie Clavelle; his son-in-law Steve Stires; and his close friend Sue Bruno.
He is survived by: his children, Debra Marie Stires, Rebecca Ann Legere (Kerney) and Michael Babineaux (Christine); his grandchildren, Shane Stires (Robyn), Shannon Stires (Chad Miller), Shea Stires (Tamara), Michelle Legere (Troy Doucet), Aimee Babineaux and Eric Babineaux; his great grandchildren, Jace Stires, Caleigh Stires, Colin Jeanminette and Cale Stires; and his sister Laura Dell Domingue (Joseph "N. B.").
