She was predeceased by: her parents, Charles Joseph Tucek, Sr. and Daisy Marie Ruff Tucek; her husband William L. Preston, Sr.; her son Col. James Joseph Preston; and her granddaughter Amy Christine Consalvo.
She is survived by: her sons, Williams Preston, Jr. (Vickie) of Carencro, Michael Anthony Preston (Evelyn) of Ennis, TX and Thomas Andrew Preston (Teralena) of Gaithersburg, MD; her daughter-in-law Jeannie Preston; and her grandchildren, Joshua Preston, Lieutenant Colonel Justin Preston, Kimberly of John Derrick, Rebecca Erin Preston, Susan Preston, Jennifer McDonnell, Benjamin Preston, Timothy Preston and Hailey Preston. She is also survived by seventeen great-grandchildren; four great-great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
