He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Nola Mouton August and Joseph August; his wife Judy August; his children, Tricia August, Cindy August Duhon (Venice) and Lynn August, Jr. (Niki); his grandchildren, Gabrielle August Coward (Harry), Chelsea Gray (Tha'lone), Caleb Cloud, Cole Duhon, Blythe August and Blair August; his great grandchildren, Harleigh, Reese, Nola and Lyla; his sister Priscilla August Isadore; his nieces and nephews, Crystal, Angie, Glenn and Reggie; his stepdaughters, Kimberly Foley and Nicole Skaggs; and his close friends, Angela and Les Hunter.

Visitation will be held on Saturday, February 22nd 2025 from 8:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Melancon Funeral Home (4117 N University Ave, Carencro, LA 70520). A rosary will be held on Saturday, February 22nd 2025 at 9:00 AM at the same location. A Mass of Christian burial will be held on Saturday, February 22nd 2025 at 12:00 PM at the Cathedral of St. John the Evangelist (515 Cathedral St, Lafayette, LA 70501).
