She was predeceased by: her husband John Edwin Briscoe; her parents, Isaac Melancon and Lucille Hernandez Melancon; her daughter Pamela Briscoe; and her siblings, Ashby Melancon, Euel Melancon, Isaac Melancon, Jr., Lillian Melancon, Sarah Melancon, Joyce Melancon Richard, Mary Jane Melancon and Linda Sue Melancon Stelly.
She is survived by: her sons, Scott J. Briscoe (Mary Spencer) of Carencro and James E. Briscoe (Lapelle Hebert Briscoe) of Carencro; her siblings, Jerry Bob Melancon (Sandi Melancon) of Prince Frederick, Maryland and Shirley Brasseaux of Carencro; her grandchildren, Brandon Briscoe (Kaitlin Guidry) and Nicole Briscoe Landry (Matt); her stepgrandchildren, Tanya Holmes, Billy Hebert, Summer Hebert and Ricky Roger; and her siblings-in-law, Joyce Melancon of San Antonio, TX and Alvin Stelly of Arnaudville. She is also survived by eight great-grandchildren; four step-great-grandchildren.
