She was predeceased by: her father Joseph Thibodeaux; her husband John Alex Sassau; her son Jonathan Thibodeaux; and her mother Eva Dell Paddio Thibodeaux (Paddio) of Carencro, Louisiana.. She is survived by: her children, Dana Pete (Jonathan), Danielle Parker (James), Kimberly Sassau, Aaron Sassau (Devon), Allen Thibodeaux, Marcus Sassau, Jermaine Thibodeaux of Houston, TX and Teddrick Thibodeaux (Daisha) of Verrado, AZ; and her siblings, Brinda Turpeau (Dave), Joseph Randall, Hilton Thibodeaux, Martin Thibodeaux and Daryl Thibodeaux. She is also survived by eighteen grandchildren, five nieces, and one nephew.

Visitation was held on Saturday, December 14th 2024 at 8:00 AM at the Kinchen Funeral Home, Inc. (1011 N St Antoine St, Lafayette, LA 70501). A funeral service was held on Saturday, December 14th 2024 at 10:00 AM at the same location. A burial was held on Saturday, December 14th 2024 at the Calvary Cemetery (355 Teurlings Dr, Lafayette, LA 70501).
