He was predeceased by: his parents, Louis Bernard and Beulah Bernard; his grandson Jermaine Duhon; and his siblings, Cafferey Sr., Calton Bernard, Royess Bernard, Bernice, MeMe and Mildred Bernard.
He is survived by: his significant other Rosa Mae Duhon; his children, Alvin (Annie) of Lafayette, LA, Michael (Kimberly) of New Iberia, LA, Albert (Melissa) of Broussard, LA, Melissa (Jimmy) of Milton, LA, Joseph (Eva) and Calvin (Belinda) of Lafayette, LA; and his brother Paul Bernard. He is also survived by 12 grandchildren; 18 great grandchildren.
