He was predeceased by: his wife Rowena Ann Fontenot Pitre; his parents, Joseph Lawrence Pitre and Leona Hargroder; his brothers, Eugene Pitre (Francis) and Derrell Pitre; and his brother-in-law Raymond Dupre.
He is survived by: his children, Bennett Pitre (Karlene) of Plaisance, Paula Lagrange (Doyle) of Opelousas and Millie Johnson (Jody) of Prairie Rhonde; his grandchildren, Gavin Tyler Ardoin, Chelsey Nicole Johnson Duvall, Hunter Joseph Johnson, Lacey Brooke Pitre, Jarrett Bennett Pitre, Jesse Lagrange and Joshua Lagrange; his great grandchildren, Lilith Lagrange, Brookelynn Lachapelle, Jaylee Johnson, Abelyn Blace Pitre, Evie-Roe Pitre, Cade Duvall, Josh Lagrange II and Oliver Lagrange; his siblings, John Rufus Pitre (Suzzane) of Plaisance and Jane Dupre of Plaisance; and his goddaughter Kathy Latiolais. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, and great nieces and nephews.
Due to the restrictions of the current COVID-19 pandemic, we will be abiding by the governors order which limits the visitations and funeral services to 25% capacity.
In lieu of flowers, the family request donations may be made to Heart of Hospice.
