He was predeceased by: his granddaughter Kennedy Stelly; his grandparents, Otis, Euland David, Joseph and Enez LeMaire; and his cousin Brandon David.
He is survived by: his children, Jedd David of Abbeville, Jacob David of Delcambre, Natachia Stelly (Adlar) of Forked Island, Jenna Herpin (Lance) of Kaplan and McKenzie David of Cow Island; his grandchildren, Emma Stelly, Bailey Stelly, Adalyn Stelly and Jane Catherine Herpin; his parents, Lester James David and Barbara L. David of Cow Island; and his siblings, Kim Verret (Greg) of Cow Island, Hal David (Angie) of Cow Island and Todd David (Vickie) of Cow Island.
