He was predeceased by: his parents, Elridge "Shawee" Benoit, Sr. and Elrita Gary; and his brother Curt James Benoit. He is survived by: his pet Samson; his fiancée Dianne "Bozo" Melancon of Carencro; his children, Kerry Benoit (Amber Benoit) of Duson and Kim Benoit of Youngsville; his grandchildren, Jordan Forbes, Adam Benoit, Skylar Prejean, Alexis Benoit and Hailee Castete; and his sister Sandra "Sis" Benoit of Church Point.
