The memory of Elmae Bourgeois of Carencro, Louisiana, who passed away on November 30, 2024 at the age of 106, will forever remain in the hearts of those touched by this precious presence in their lives. She was predeceased by: her husband Claude Bourgeois; her parents, Adelma Rivette and Sarah Colligan; and her siblings, Lawrence Rivette and Mable Miller.
She is survived by: her daughter Sarah Bourgeois of Carencro; her grandchildren, Mark Breaux (Catherine), Joey Breaux (Suzette), Candice Bourgeois Valentine (Joshua) and Blair Bourgeois; and her stepgranddaughters, Dawn Irvin and Paula Alleman. She is also survived by eleven great grandchildren; and fifteen great-great grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Tuesday, December 3rd 2024 at 8:00 AM at the Melancon Funeral Home (4117 N University Ave, Carencro, LA 70520). A rosary was held on Tuesday, December 3rd 2024 at 9:45 AM at the same location. A Mass of Christian burial was held on Tuesday, December 3rd 2024 at 11:00 AM at the St. Peter Roman Catholic Church (102 N Church St, Carencro, LA 70520).
