She was predeceased by: her parents, Evelyn Lucas and Fred Lucas; and her siblings, Mary E. Lucas and Fred B. Lucas. She is survived by: her husband Marc Anthony Benoit; her children, Leslie Burleigh, Steve Burleigh (Janet), Micheal Burleigh (Glinda) and Ashley Broussard (Derrick); her grandchildren, Cortney Brooks (Kendrick), Mallory Burleigh, Kaitlin Burleigh, Taylor Burleigh (Casey), Lauren Burleigh and Chris Burleigh (Shayna); her nephew Alex Ashy; and her goddaughter Tanya Lucas. She is also survived by 11 great-grandchildren.
