Charles Domec Obituary
CARENCRO ~ Funeral services will be held Saturday, October 26, 2019 at 10:30 a.m. in St. Peter Roman Catholic Church in Carencro for Charles Dale Domec, age 66, who passed away Thursday, October 24, 2019 at Amelia Manor Nursing Home in Lafayette. Mr. Domec was a native and lifelong resident of Carencro, where he was a parishioner of St. Peter Roman Catholic Church.
He successfully owned and operated Domec Plumbing in Carencro from 1981-2018 and was a board member of the Acadian Home Builders Association. Dale was avid in St. Jude Children's Research Hospital fundraising, where he was recognized for his unwavering support. Survivors include two sons, David Domec and his companion, Ann Guillory, of Opelousas and Caleb Domec and his wife, Danielle, of Carencro; one daughter, Rachel Spencer and her husband, Caleb, of Carencro; seven grandchildren, Madison Taylor Welborn, John Barrow Spencer, Jack Barrow Spencer, Miles Jasper William Domec, Keristen Domec, Hannah Domec and Noah Charles Domec; two step grandchildren, Avery Fortier and Emily Fortier; three brothers, Russell Domec and his wife, Kim, of Carencro, Sidney Domec of Carencro and Patrick Domec and his wife, Donna, of Lafayette; three sisters, Jeanette Miller of Lafayette, Leatrice Hanks and her husband, Joseph, of Carencro and Audrey Chautin and her husband, Boston, of Opelousas; and two Godchildren, Robin Martin and Eric Bordelon.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Paul Elie Domec and the former Sable Marie Guidry.
