He was predeceased by: his parents, William Smith and Alice Smith; and his siblings, Jessie Smith, David Smith, Tommie Smith, Hazel Harper, Lucille Silvie, Annie Olds, Jeannette Beach, Myrtle "Cooter" Slaughter and Ruth Burns.
He is survived by: his siblings, Jimmie Smith, Jerry Smith, Henry Smith, Dorothy Niemeier and Pearlie Wolf. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
