He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, William "Billy" and Mary Lois Doxey; his siblings, Albarado, Mary Palmer, Davy Doxey and Ruben Doxey; his wife Phyllis Doxey (Eakin); his children, William "Adam" Doxey (Lindsey) of Iowa, Robyn Doxey (Tory) of Baton Rouge, Brian Doxey (Krystal) of Grand Lake and Marcus Doxey (Carly) of WestLake; and his grandchildren, MeLah, Brooks Doxey, Attikus Trabeaux, Paleigh and Payson Doxey. He was also cherished by three sons, one daughter, and five grandchildren.
