He was predeceased by: his wife Lynn Garrett Franks; and his children, Michael Louis Franks and Karen Lynn Franks. He is survived by: his daughter-in-law Sue Franks of Wills Point, TX; his grandson Shaun Franks; his nephew Jimmy Ray Franks (Hilda); his sister-in-law Dorothy Sivess; his nephews, Harry Sivess (Karen), Bill Sivess (Kathi) and Stanley Vernon Garrett (Suzan); and his caregiver Eva Waller. He is also survived by numerous other nieces, nephews, relatives, and friends.
Visitation was held on Thursday, February 6th 2025 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM and on Friday, February 7th 2025 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Southern Funeral Home (202 E Lafayette St, Winnfield, LA 71483). A funeral service was held on Friday, February 7th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the same location.
