He was predeceased by: his wife Betty Sue Eppler; his parents, Violet Benz and Alfred Eppler; and his half-brother Charles Benz. He is survived by: his children, Richard Eugene Eppler Jr. (Teri) and Michele Eppler West (Bruce); his grandsons, Bruce West Jr. (Shelby), Brandon West (Alisha) and Brett West; his great grandchildren, Addison West, Zoey West, Braylon West and Brody West; and his half-siblings, Linda Rolfs and Jack Benz.
