He was predeceased by: his parents, Grady Bennett and Gladys Bennett Kilpatrick; and his nephew Greg Fontenot. He is survived by: his wife Virginia Bennett of Calhoun; his children, Michael Bennett, Sr. (Dawn) of Wake Forest, NC, Amy Bennett Williams (Donnie) of West Monroe, Robert Trost, Jr. of Kemah, TX and Teri Arnold of Horseshoe Bay, TX; his sisters, Mary Francis Stoer (Erik) of Niceville, FL and Deloris Fontenot (Richard) of Dallas, TX; his grandchildren, Michael Bennett, Jr. (Traci) of Wake Forest, NC, Joel Bennett (Sophy) of Wake Forest, NC, Luke Bennett (Phida) of Harrisburg, PA, Miranda Allen (Brandon) of Columbus, MS, Melanie Robinson (Ian) of West Monroe, Colby Arnold (Kiersten) of Liberty Hills, TX and Raymond Arnold (Megan) of Marble Falls, TX; and his great grandchildren, Asher, Miles, Finn, Joey, Quinn, Emmette, Aiden, Alec and Ryatt. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.
In lieu of flowers, the family has requested that donations be made in his memory to the First Baptist Church of Calhoun.
