She is survived by: her husband James E. Tarkington; her children, James D. Tarkington (Kristie Cobb Tarkington) and Laura Chisholm (Brandon); her grandchildren, Trent Chisholm, Ainsley Koehler and Kennen Cobb; and her sister Charlotte Mears (Ray).
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorials be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
