He was predeceased by: his wife Sharon Ann Walker Dewey; his son Frank Norris Dewey, III; his stepsons, Jeffrey Scott Newton and Brian Keith Lanningham; his parents, Dorothy Stone and Frank Dewey; and his brother-in-law Dale Garrett.
He is survived by: his children, Curtis Frank Dewey, Melissa Liane Dewey Hewitt (Greg) and Karissa Ann Dewey; his sisters, Saundra Kay Cole (Ronnie) and Judy Garrett; his stepson John Andrew Newton, Jr. (Tracy); and his daughters-in-law, Renee Sims and Qun Peng Dewey. He is also survived by 13 grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren.
