He was predeceased by: his parents, Bessie Culpepper and Dwight N. Vines; and his brother Bernard Vines. He is survived by: his wife Jean Varnado Vines; his sons, Michael, Timothy and David; and his siblings, Mickey Culpepper, Beau Vines, Margie Humphrey, Elizabeth Jordan, Martha Henderson, Norma Head, Beverly Goodrich, Sue Jackson and Donna Vines. He is also survived by nine grandchildren and two great grandchildren.
