We are sad to announce that on February 23, 2025, at the age of 69, Joyce Merrick Wilson Narcisse of Buras, Louisiana passed away. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Joseph Alcide Merrick Sr. and Beatrice LaFrance Merrick; her sister Alice; her parents-in-law, Oliver Sr. and Lolita Narcisse; her siblings-in-law, Oliver Jr., Paul and Faye Narcisse; and her former husband Calvin Wilson.
She is survived by: her spouse Cledmon "Joe" Narcisse; her children, Brenda, Travis (Amber) and Terrance Merrick; her grandchildren, Bianca, Kalen, Story, Costen, Makenzie and Travis Jr.; her stepgranddaughter Briana Williams; her great grandchild Salaya; her siblings, Barbara Ingraham (late Jerry), Mary Duncan (Mancil), Kevin Sr. Merrick (Rolenda) and Joseph Merrick Jr.; and her siblings-in-law, Felix, Kermit, Anthony, Frances Narcisse, Rose Parker and Caffie Riley. She is also survived by nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.
Visitation was held on Saturday, March 8th 2025 from 9:30 AM to 11:00 AM at the First Mount Zion Baptist Church (32471 LA-23, Buras, LA 70041). A celebration of life was held on Saturday, March 8th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location. An entombment was held on Saturday, March 8th 2025 at the Mount Zion Baptist Church Cemetery (32471 LA-23, Buras, LA 70041).
