She was predeceased by: her husbands, James Jenkins and Joel Carter; her parents, Herbert Hazelton and Leacy Clark Hazelton; and her siblings, Marion, J. D. Hazelton, Verlie Clark, Betty Johnson and Yvonne King.

She is survived by: her children, Ronald Jenkins (Sherry) of Lone Pine, Joseph Jenkins (Martha) of St. Landry, Phillip Jenkins (Kristie) of Clearwater, Diane Mabou (James) of Clearwater, Peggy Newsom (Bobby) of Jeanerette and Sally West (Wilford) of Pine Prairie; her stepsons, Phil Carter (Faye) of Alexandria, Kevin Carter (Cathy) of Hineston and Troy Carter (Rachel) of Hineston; and her brother Nolan Hazelton. She is also survived by 27 grandchildren and many great and great-great grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.
