He was predeceased by: his parents, Samuel Ducote and Anaise Roy Ducote; his granddaughter Amanda Claire Duplantis; and his sister Dora Bernard. He is survived by: his wife Myrtis Normand Ducote of Bunkie; his children, Mary D. Thompson of Alexandria and Anne D. Duplantis (Glen) of Erath; his siblings, Samuel Ducote, Jr. of Bunkie and Genevieve Riche of Evergreen; his grandchildren, Valerie Verzwyvelt, Ashley Duplantis and Scott Duplantis (Alaina); and his great grandchild David Samuel Verzwyvelt.
