It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Rita West (Bunkie, Louisiana), who passed away on January 20, 2019, at the age of 82, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Hazel Sr and Prosper Fontenot, Sr.; her son Brian West; and her grandson Jonathan West. She is survived by: her husband Thomas West of Bayou Chicot; her children, Linda Deville of Ville Platte, Thomas "Slim" West (Rhonda) of St. Landry, James West (Renee) and Mark West (Alicia) of Bayou Chicot; and her siblings, Deanna Rollins of Mamou, Ferrell Taffy of Pine Prairie, Ruby Gilbert of West Monroe and Prosper Fontenot, Jr. of Reddell. She is also survived by thirteen grandchildren and twelve great grandchildren.
