He was predeceased by: his wife Juliette Gagnard Redmon; his grandson Jonathan Lyons; his parents, Louis E. Redmon and Gladys Morgan Redmon; his brother William "Snookie" Redmon; and his brother-in-law Jack Horton.
He is survived by: his children, Connie R. LaPrairie (Bobby) of Bunkie, Carolyn R. Lyons (Tommy) of Slidell and Buddy Redmon (Connie) of Bunkie; his siblings, Roy Redmon (Geisla) of Round Mountain, TX, Linda Horton of Leesville and Nelwyn Mills (William) of Bunkie; and his grandchildren, Bryan LaPrairie (Carmen), Brandon LaPrairie (Kim), Brady LaPrairie (Amber), Jason Redmon (Robert), Casey Redmon (Billie Jo), Valerie R. Plauche (John), Sara Lyons and Lauren Lyons (David Rouse). He is also survived by 20 great-grandchildren and 2 great-great-grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Thursday, January 2nd 2025 from 8:30 AM to 10:45 AM at the Hixson-Ducote Funeral Home (302 St John St, Bunkie, LA 71322). A Mass of Christian burial was held on Thursday, January 2nd 2025 at 11:00 AM at the St. Anthonoy of Padua Catholic Church (409 St John St, Bunkie, LA 71322).
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to St. Anthony of Padua Catholic Church in Bunkie or Church of the Little Flower in Evergreen.
