She was predeceased by: her parents, Dutie Ducote and Dallas Ducote; and her grandson Bobby Bernard. She is survived by: her children, Cheryl Bridges (Blair) of Opelousas and Steven Childress (Beckie) of Morgan City; her siblings, Donna Chenevert of Bunkie, Ronnie Ducote (Alice) of Pineville, Wayne Ducote of Evergreen and Barney Ducote (Vicki) of Bayhills; her grandchildren, Rusty Bernard, Amanda Devillier (James) and Jake Childress; and her great grandchildren, Madison Bernard, Sophie Marks, Morgan Bernard and Rustin Bernard.
Visitation was held on Thursday, April 10th 2025 from 2:30 PM to 8:30 PM at the Melancon Funeral Home (108 N Lexington Ave, Bunkie, LA 71322). A funeral service was held on Thursday, April 10th 2025 at 6:30 PM at the same location.
