James Allen Latz Obituary
We are sad to announce that on January 11, 2025, at the age of 83, James Allen Latz (Bunkie, Louisiana) passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
As James departs from this earthly realm, his essence lingers — a whisper on the wind, a ripple on the water — a testament to the enduring power of love to transcend the boundaries of life and death. Though James may no longer walk beside us, his spirit lives on in the memories and the legacy James leaves behind.
He was predeceased by: his parents, John N. Latz and Lottie Repine Latz. He is survived by: his wife Elizabeth Gross Latz; his brother John T. Latz; his children, Kirsten Martin (Andrew), Matthew Latz and Derek Latz (Kelsey); and his grandchildren, Peyton Miley, Benjamin Martin, Grace Martin, Brady Latz and Dillon Disotel.
Visitation was held on Thursday, January 16th 2025 from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Hixson-Ducote Funeral Home (302 St John St, Bunkie, LA 71322). A funeral service was held on Friday, January 17th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the First Baptist Church (203 S Lexington Ave, Bunkie, LA 71322).
