He was predeceased by: his former wives, Louise Ducote Smith and Josephine Ducote Smith; and his daughter Sandra Mayeux. He is survived by: his brother J. C. Smith; his sons, Steve Lemoine (Jan) of Evergreen and Glenn Lemoine of Poland; his son-in-law Charles Mayeux of Bunkie; his siblings, Elster Smith of Marksville, Lester Smith of Deville, Una Dauzat of Marksville and Lucille Dupuy of Fifth Ward; and his grandchildren, Michelle Mayeux Ferguson, Charles Mayeux, Lawrence Lemoine, Elizabeth Lavesphere, Jennifer Lemoine Ducote and Lori Lemoine. He is also survived by 10 great-grandchildren and 9 great-great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.
