He was predeceased by: his parents, Arvie Hines and Vivian Hines; and his sister Barbara Hines Fletcher. He is survived by: his wife Jacqueline Ewing of Marksville; and his children, Donna Louise Newton (Jordan) of Bunkie, Richard Arvie Hines (Andrea) of Lafayette, Christopher Arthur Hines (Deidre) of Bunkie, Henry Arthur Hines of Bunkie, Scott Alan Hines (Laura) of Lafayette and Virginia Marie Long (Chase) of Bunkie. He is also survived by 21 grandchildren and 9 great- grandchildren.
