It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Dona Simmons (Bunkie, Louisiana), who passed away on June 20, 2019, at the age of 76, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was loved and cherished by many people including: her husband James "D. D."; her parents, Blume Firmin and Irene Dean Firmin; her sister Frieda Spear; her sons, Donald Simmons (Karen) of Morrow and James Simmons of Lafayette; her siblings, Carl Firmin (Judy) of Shreveport and Debbie Meader (Phillip) of Soddy Daisy, TN; and her granddaughters, Tanya and Jennifer Simmons.
